Hurricane ready: Best practices for your home and collections

Wind and water: in fair weather they can make for a perfect, breezy day at the beach, but during the course of a hurricane storm, these elements can spell serious trouble for your home and valuables. An average hurricane season sees 12 named storms, half of which progress to be categorized as hurricanes.1 While the Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1st to November 30th, it’s best to take preventative steps early and often to help prepare for a storm. (In fact, for six consecutive years, a named storm has emerged before the season has even begun.2)
